Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy, PC is a physical therapist owned and operated. The practice was started in 1996 by Denise Didio Buher, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT with hopes to better serve the community for physical therapy services. Since 1996, the practice has grown enough to support 2 clinics, one in a brand new state-of-the-art facility, and the other in a completely renovated facility. Denise and her entire staff are committed to your recovery.


Denise Didio Buher, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT – Owner

Denise Didio Buher, PT, DPT, Certified MDT received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 1991 and also received an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Maria College of Albany in 1986. Denise is a Certified Therapist in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine from the McKenzie Institute. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and completed advanced clinical training in Biomechanics and Orthotics and is Certified in the use of Sole Supports “Dynamic Casting” Technology.

Denise started Orthopedic and Spine Physical Therapy, PC in 1996 after working at Glens Falls Hospital as a Senior Staff Therapist for several years. Her passion is to provide the best possible rehab experience for her patients and an exceptional work environment for her staff. Besides business development, her areas of interest include treating spine and sports related injuries. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), The Private Practice Section of the APTA (PPSAPTA), The Alliance of Independent Physical Therapist in the New York Chapter (AIPT-NYPTA), Member of Physical Therapy Business Alliance (PTBA), The Kiwanis Club of Glens Falls, The McKenzie Institute of the Americas, The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, and The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). Member of the Warren County Economic Development Corp and the Saratoga Economic Development Corp.

Denise is a native of Glens Falls and resides in Queensbury with her two children Katie and Jackson. She enjoys all outdoor activities including hockey and skiing in the winter months. In the warmer months, she enjoys hiking, tennis, golf, boating and camping.


Christopher Allen, PT, Cert. MDT – Clinic Manager

Chris joined Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy in 2004 from Greenwich, CT. He graduated from Kansas University Medical Center in 1993 and Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from Kansas University Medical Center in 1995. He brings nearly 20 years of physical therapy experience in multiple settings to OSPT. His experience is supplemented with extensive continuing education courses including vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy, and is certified in the McKenzie approach to treatment of the spine and extremities. Chris prides himself on providing individualized treatments tailored to the patients goals and abilities in a professional, comfortable environment. His additional interests include hiking, snowboarding, golf, traveling and spending time with his wife and 3 daughters.


Paul Toran, PTA

Paul graduated from Maria College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (AAS) program in 1995. He has worked at Orthopedic & Spine Physical Therapy since 1997. Paul is Certified in the use of Sole Supports “Dynamic Casting” technology and is a Certified Professional Trainer (CProT). Paul has taken the McKenzie Institute course Part A and B. Paul enjoys treating patients of all abilities and all ages but has a particular interest in treating the athletic-minded clientele. His interests outside of work include hiking and cross country skiing with his dog Tiger, along with mountain biking, Telemark skiing and ice hockey. In 2004, Paul was a finisher of the Ironman Competition in Lake Placid. He completed the Black Fly Challenge Eleven (a 42-mile bike ride) six times since 1995. Two MS 100 mile bike rides in 2008 and 2009 and the Tour De Cure for Diabetes in 2010 and June 2011 (100 mile bike ride), and rides in the Double H Challenge Annually.
